Dale's Hobbico Nexstar ARF
Can't believe how far behind I am in posting things.  Back around Christmas 2007 Dale decided that the General just
didn't hack it anymore, at least as far as learning aerobatics was concerned.  The result of that little decision was
his acquisition of a new plane, the Hobbico Nexstar ARF, from our local hobby shop (yeah, local - 40 miles away).

We've been so busy flying, I haven't even gotten a decent photo of him and the plane.  Definitely have to correct
that.

21 September 2008: Well, first flying pics of the Nexstar are finally available, shown below.  They're not great but
they prove that both the plane and Dale can definitely fly.

The Nexstar is a fairly docile plane and was definitely a good choice as the first step-up from the General Lee.  At
this point in time we've re-set his ailerons so they're about 80% effective, along with minor upgrading of the
elevator and rudder.  He's just beginning basic aerobatics and she performs rather well overall.  Of course, being a
high-wing, she doesn't do knife-edge at all but he's gotten some pretty good spins, rolls, loops and a bit of inverted
flight out of her.  Once the ailerons are set fully effective he should be able to pretty much match the Sr Falcon in
all she can do.

One of the great thrills about flying is, of course, having multiple planes in the air and the Nexstar is fully capable
of flying with nearly anything that can fly - which means he and I have had many many flights together.  Formation
flying is something new for me too, it's a lot of fun.
