Sweetpea's morning "audience". When she first arrived we kept her inside the round-pen for a week so she could get to know
the guys - and they could get to know her. She certainly set the rules right off. Cherokee was (and usually still is) right at her
side every minute - and when he got too close to the fence she let him know in no uncertain terms. We've got several rather
bent fence panels to prove it.
She wasn't used to us either. Dale's here, giving her breakfast and staying with the bowl to get Sweetpea accustomed to him
being there. It took 3 days for that center picture (above) to come to pass.
Breakfast is over - time to get back to socializing.

And then we let her loose - and she did what every horse would do, ran herself into a lather in total celebration of her freedom.
Of course, she had 3 of the guys with her every step of the way. They finally led her around the house and down to the creek -
where she found her first little piece of heaven. She stood right in the middle of the creek and splashed water until she was
soaked all over - then joined the guys on the flat. She later took a cue from Banjo and had a good roll - which pretty well
trashed her long, winter coat.
