I'm all of 139 pounds, You are all of 985 pounds.
I control your destiny, yet You control my life.
I give you love and attention, You give me your complete trust.
I'm the small one that you allow on your back, You are the one that always asks "where do we
go"
If I point to the stars, I know you would try.
So instead we ride to the mountains, and climb to the top.
We both look down to the valley below and wonder,
I call out Your name to be carried on the wind,
You paw at the ground and "neigh" back at the sound of Your name.
The wind blows through the trees, and I watch from Your back.
Your ears stand up as You hear Your name being softly called through the trees,
Your tail floats on the breeze, but You stand Your ground as a king.
I sit on Your back and wrap my arms around Your neck ... my protector, my king.
When we move through the forest I listen to Your talk.
When I dismount from Your back I listen to You whisper my name.
I hear You when You say "Don't go ... there's more riding to do".
I stand by Your shoulder and ask "where?"
You shake Your head ... and look back at me
"TO THE STARS . . . TO THE STARS"
Once again I climb on Your back
And whisper in Your ear ... "Take Me There".
