An Old Horse Netring

Established: 23 December 2003
Last Updated: 18 July 2009
Older horses, as are many animals, are all too often simply 'discarded' and left to die in
some horrible way.  We've seen many wonderful old horses simply auctioned off to those
we call "The Killers".

THIS MUST STOP!

The "An Old Horse" is intended to link websites that are dedicated to the humane upkeep
or rescue of old horses.
If your site meets the following criteria, we would be honored to have you.

1.)   Your site doesn't have to even be animal-related, but it would be nice if it should
feature, in some way, the humane upkeep of horses.

2.)   Your site
MUST NOT be profane in any way - it must be observable by people of any
age (G-Rated).  Sites depicting any type of hate, abuse or pornography are not admitted.

3.)    Sites which promote the selling of animals, ie puppy mills or catteries, are not
admitted.  This does not apply to
honorable, licensed breeders who raise animals for
honorable purposes, such as the breeder that sold "Blue" to us.

4.)
The "AN OLD HORSE" NetRing html code MUST be displayed on the page you
designate when you join.
No website will be admitted without this code, and should the
ring html be deleted (disappear) at a later date your site
WILL BE DELETED from the
ring.

NOTE: In all cases, determination of the
suitability of a website for placement in this ring
is at the sole discretion of the Ringmaster.
Instructions for joining this ring

Please download the graphic at the top of this page to your own server.  NO direct linking,
other than that in the ring html fragment, is allowed.

You must submit the EXACT URL of the page where you will place the ring.

After you have filled out the form, you will receive your code by e-mail; and your site will
be added to the queue.

Copy the code to your page, then
e-mail me and I will add you to the ring.

You will have seven (7) days to add the code.  At that time you will be removed from the
queue if you haven't placed the ring on the page you have submitted.  If you are removed
you may re-submit again when you are ready.

The webring logo below is "live" and active.
This is what your page should look like.
NOTE: Recently, Ringsurf has undergone some rather profound changes, one being the
style of ring html to go onto member's pages.  The new style is quite spartan.  When you
join the ring, you can either use their basic html-code or you can use the html-code to get
the same result as above.  Just below is a text box that contains the code for the
rendition above.  You will need to change TWO things though.  Everything that needs to be
changed to personalize your entry will look like this:

###ITEM TO BE CHANGED###

Replace everything between the crosshatches, including the crosshatches with your
information - be sure to copy the ring logo at the top of this page into your website
database (but not showing on your page - the html-code will do that for you).

Alternative html fragments are also available for those that prefer a different
look to their website.  Click here to see them.

If you have any problems, just e-mail me and we can get you up and running together.
Now, READY to join us??

Click here to submit your site!  That's all there is to it!

We'll review your website (just to make sure) and if all's in order, you're in!
