| Taken on 16 July 2002, here's our old guy out in the field doing his thing. Blackie's quite a guy, likes to hang around us a lot, except when the camera comes out - then he's off to the far end of the field, rather quickly. He's not gaining weight like I'd like, we're guessing that he's actually lost about 20-30 lbs or so in the past couple months. His energy level is up and he's moving a lot better, with the help of some arthritis medicine. Actually, the full picture was of him, Blue & Banjo all pretty much together - I just cropped this. |
It took a full day to get his first pic's. Taken on 28 May 02, this is our rescue. Pics were taken while he was getting his "first" helping of grain this morning. He's awful thin, but he can sure go!! Just try to keep up with him when he's going somewhere - you have to run!
