Banjo just loves kids, he's almost exactly like Max in that regard. In the pic on the
left he's watching over Cheyenne, our youngest grand-daughter, who's just barely 5.
Just behind them is Dakota's stall and he's watching to make sure that Cheyenne
doesn't go too near it. She eventually did and he simply stood there and "wuffled" a
warning to Dakota. She actually took one step back and stood there, quietly, until
Cheyenne left.
There are only a couple pictures in this set but they kinda tell the story. Banjo is the family protector, our own
security system. When Blackie went down a few years ago, there was Banjo, watching over him with me all night
long. When dogs got into the field he was on their case like white on rice. When Dakota acts up he's right there to
keep us safe and calm her down.
This is one amazing horse!
The picture on the right shows our big boy just kinda standing around and munching
while Dakota checks for treats in the Explorer. He let her stay there for about 3
minutes, then he gently nudged her away and they both walked out into the field
together.
Don't know what we'd do without him. We always feel safe and we always know that the horses are safe with him
around.
