Wakannai AS, Japan  
If anything was wonderful about Wakannai, I'd sure like to know what it was.  I
was only there for 22 days and they closed the station on me.  Kind of a case of,
"would the last person out please turn out the lights?" type scenario.  I've always
wondered why I got this assignment.  I was prematurely PCS's from Elmendorf to
go here, and long before my assignment even started they were already in the
process of closing.

Guess I shouldn't try to guess the logic in Uncle Sam sometimes.
