This is what my life's been all about.

The flag of my country, which I've loved and served for the vast majority of
my life.

These U.S. Marine Corps insignia, flag and patches are included on my page in honor of my father who
was a hero in the
1st Marine Division on Guadalcanal and several other places during WWII.

This page, and following pages, encapsulate my years of adulthood.  Before I continue, let
me make one thing clear - I consider myself one of the luckiest men in the world.  I
consider that military service is a privilege, one that not everyone is afforded.  I'm
privileged, I served for nearly 22 years in the US Air Force.

Thank you, America, for the privilege.

You might consider that the order of this page is a bit strange, my statement of life-purpose before my welcome to you.  Not so
strange.  I have put my country before everything else in my life - that's as I think it should be.

For starters on this page, and to learn a bit more about my beliefs, I'd like to present to you the "American Creed" - an
American statement of beliefs and purpose.  I don't think there can be a higher calling than adherance to the words of this
document, which I've included just below.

Next, I invite you to take a look at the articles that are linked below, called "A Few Excellent Military-related & Patriotic
Stories".  All are excellent.  One was written by my brother, who has no military background at all, the others are of unknown
origins.  These will open in a whole new window, so you can keep this page going too.

Finally, I invite you to click on the next button and follow my Air Force career, from beginning to end.  The tour's worth it, I
promise.  There's good pic's, good war stories and a good life waiting to be seen.

American Creed

I believe in the United States of America as a Government of the people, by the people, for
the people, whose just powers are derived from the consent of the governed; a democracy
in a Republic; a sovereign Nation of many sovereign States; a perfect Union, one and
inseparable; established upon those principles of freedom, equality, justice, and humanity
for which American patriots sacrificed their lives and fortunes.
I, therefore, believe it is my duty to my Country to love it; to support its Constitution; to
obey its laws; to respect its flag, and to defend it against
all enemies.
