Come on up and sit on the porch, join me in a
cup-o-coffee, and enjoy yourself.
Welcome to our house!
Let me introduce myself.

I'm Dave and This Cute Lady Beside Me Is Susan
One really good thing about living a military life-style is that one can sometimes consider himself more of a "paid tourist" than
anything else.  Uncle Sam and I had a really good arrangement going - he paid me to go see the world and once-in-awhile I had to
put on a uniform and do him a "few" favors.

Along the way we gathered two rug-rats, both of which are now grown up and out on their own.  Ryan's married with a pair of
daughters. Holly's married too, doing her thing.

We also have a "couple" 4-legged members in the family.  Snowball, Stripe, Sylvester, Taz and Fern are our kitties; "Blue", Max,
Blackie, Arizona, Cherokee, Banjo, Sweetpea & Dakota are our horses.
I'm 61 yrs old, born in 1948.  I served for 21 years, 10 months, 23 days in the United States Air
Force (USAF) Security Service (later named Electronic Security Command and now named the Air
Intelligence Agency) and am now retired, at least from that part of my life.

On 21 June 1969, Susan and I were married.  Since then, we've travelled the world together, seeing
what we could see, doing what we could do (and sometimes spending money like there was no
tomorrow).

My main interest these days is woodworking, specifically scrollsaw fretwork.  I've been doing rather detailed work for about 10
years now, and I find it's quite relaxing and a lot of fun.  It can be rather profitable too.  Did you know that you can sit down
with a scrollsaw and get so engrossed that you don't  even stop to eat for as much as a day?  I've done it!!!

Being in the Air Force for so long, I also have a love for travel, seeing new places and meeting new people.  I've got a LOT of
pictures (quite a few are included in these pages) to show for it.  Of course, photography is a must when you're travelling all over
the place.  As a matter of fact, our travels around Germany with the Air Force are mainly responsible for the scrollsaw work.  Did
you ever take a good look at German shop signs?  They're a work of art in themselves.  They're what developed my interest in
fretwork.

Also fitting in with an Air Force life, airplanes are a natural interest.  I've flown in the full-size types, of course, but my favorite
flying really comes from models, both the older style control-line types, and radio.  I regularly fly both types right from my back
yard.

My latest interest is computers.  I'm very new to these critters and most of what I do is fairly simple by everyone else's
standards.  Sure am having fun, though, learning.

Hokay, time to get started!  Click on the door one more time and we'll take a tour through my life.
